My teamies in this one are  IngridPamelliaKeren (  Nikki is taking a little break from this one but don't worry she'll be back). Please hop over to their blogs to see what wonders they have created.

The theme for this challenge was selected by Keren.....and she has made us suffer! Boy,was this one hard! This is the image we worked from

See,hard huh?! What to choose? Colours? Shapes? Help?!

Well,I picked out the acorn shape and some of the colours so ran with that. Before I started I carved out an acorn shaped stamp as I don't seem to have one already, I quite like how it turned out, will maybe use that again!

Autumn is here

Hello everyone,

Would you believe that its taken me a whole week to create an Autumn card?! I think because you have so much choice it became a bit overwhelming for me.....well thats my excuse anyway......I have a pile of stuff that didn't make the grade....now I know how Pamellia feels :)

Anyway, at long last here it is. A big thank you as always to my bestest bloggy buddy Ingrid as she supplied some of the little bits and pieces I have used on the card that I have then gone on to alter.

The lighting is terrible here today.....time for a lightbox I think. I used mainly oranges, reds and greens for this so I hope it fits the challenge themes okay :)

Attitude problem

Hello everyone,

Hope you are all okay out there in blogland and looking forward to a crafty weekend full of inky fun.

I have a card for you today using Brushos. I can't be sure but I am guessing that Brushos and Bistre are a similar type of paint pigment? Now, I won't go into my 'adventures' with this stuff ( Amanda and Ingrid know only too well) but suffice to say.....protect your work surfaces....and your clothes....enough said....

Exciting day for me today, 2 wonderful little packages have arrived today from 2 of my favourite bloggy friends,Ingrid and Susi.....more on that on a separate post :)

A tag for you today, seems like ages since I made one of them, maybe I just made too many and got fed up with them!

This gentleman reminds me of one of the colonial Victorian types that were on the spice trail, importing all these new and wonderful things to the UK that no-one had ever tried before or even heard of.

Crackle and metallic

Hello everyone,

A big thanks to all who left helpful recommendations re the best double sided tape to use. I have ordered some scor tape so hopefully I will be able to get on with making my ATBs again without them completely falling apart the very next day.

Today I have a hanging board for you made from ultra thick cardboard. For some reason this has been in my stash for months before I have gotten around to using it,not sure why! I have had real problems taking pictures of this one because of the metal tape used, the light bounces off at weird angles!

The second picture shows the 3 step crackle technique by using Paperartsy Fresco paints and crackle glaze, love this effect and sometimes find it hard to cover it up!

I am entering this in the following challenges:

The Mirror Crack'd-Anything Goes here

Gelli Birdie

Hello everyone,

Hope you are all okay out there,a big hug to you all as you have all been so kind to me lately :)

Quick question ( yes I know I am always asking dumb questions) but can anyone please recommend a strong, double sided tape that I can buy? I am getting fed up with not being able to stick my ATB boxes together. Glossy accents and even hot glue keeps coming unstuck, I got a cheapy double sided tape thats useless so any help would be appreciated!

Today I have a card for you. I am on a card making run at the moment and even made my first christmas card last night.....and yes its very 'quirky'!

The Speed Craft Challenge- Make number 2

Hi everyone,

Yes,its time for another speed craft challenge in conjunction with these wonderful crafty friends of mine: IngridPamelliaNikkiKeren. Please pop along to their blogs to see what they have created too,you won't be disappointed ;)

The lovely Ingrid picked the the theme for the challenge this time around,a colour based one featuring this colour palette

From this rather lovely place here, serious eye candy huh?!

Gorgeous isn't it? I do have a couple of pieces of sea glass and they are really stunning.

The 'rules' are the same. 10 minutes to create a little something for us to share with you....why...because we are mad like that :)

Firstly,I was a little naughty with the challenge this time around. The chloe die cut piece was already done and I stopped the stopwatch only a couple of times to grab another stamp and my dymo machine but the time fairly reflects how long it took......aren't I an honest gal!

And here is the finished card. The lighting is not particularly great at the moment so this is the best shots I could get.

Fresco paints, memory box chloe die, stamps are: Inkadinkadoo and the little birdie one is from the latest Craft Stamper magazine. Thanks to Trish Latimer for the inspiration here, this months edition is a brilliant read and this stamp is super cute.

A big thanks to Pamellia ( see her link above) otherwise I wouldn't have seen these leaf stamps and oh my they are wonderful. Have a look at her Autumn card while you are on her blog....AMAZING creation.

I don't want to make a big fuss but I might not be around as much for posting or visiting blogs as my mum is really poorly in hospital at the moment so thats what will be taking up my time.

Hope you like it

Bonjour....waffling and photos...grab your cuppa!

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all okay and a big hello to new followers and an extra big hug to those who asked where I was. I have not had a chance to catch up on all your blogs,so please leave me a comment/email if you have had something happen that's important to you while I have been away,so I can come over and see :)

Just come back from a week in the Dordogne region of France, gorgeous weather all week.....too much consumption of pistachio ice cream though! One thing I have noticed, well particularly in the regions I usually go,there is not much in the way of art supplies at all. I was wondering then if this crafting with mixed media is really popular in America,Canada and Northern Europe only? Just a thought, probably completely wrong......as usual!

The good thing about going away is you can only take limited art supplies. Which in turn 'forced' me to start my stamp carving again, use my inktense pencils and draw freehand again. I am sorting that all out today so hopefully can bore you all with the photos later of my handiwork.....see,I knew you would all be glad I am back!!

A random selection of photos below for you....there would have been more but SOMEONE forgot to take the camera out on the last day of the holiday and missed a lot of great photo opportunities....the same SOMEONE who accelerated away from the toll booth while I was sipping a hot chocolate......resulting in bring completely covered in it........we are still talking.....just.......I am trying to get a couple of Stampotique stamps from SOMEONE as payback for all the trauma suffered....worth a try huh?!?

and finally a couple of little things bought by moi......

Its good to be back in blogland :)
