Feeling Blue
Hello everyone,
Well now that all the festivities have been and gone it's back to the normal blogging routine. A lot of the challenge blogs are asking for something new to be used and my tag for today certainly covers this. The background stamp is from a Dina Wakley set I got for Christmas along with some Faber Castell watercolour pencils and a set of Portfolio pastels also received from lovely Santa ;)
I am entering this into the following challenges:
The Crafters Cafe,New
Mixed Media Monthly,Something New for the New Year
Thats Crafty,Blue is the Colour
Rhedds Creative Spirit,Anything Goes
Allsorts Challenge,Cold and Frosty Colours
Fresco paint,Dylusions spray,Faber Castell watercolour pencils,Portfolio pastels, black Micron pen. Background writing stamp is Dina Wakley. Glossy Accents was also applied and then the old trick with cracking it after taking out the freezer. The girl is entirely hand drawn...I think looking at it now she has a 60/70's vibe.....of course I am far too young to remember that of course.....
Hope you like it

What a unique tag art Donna.. this girl-face is amazing and I like the swirls of her hair and the harmonius colors ! The background is beautiful as well...very tricky ... tried this just one single time ... years ago as I heard about that faux cracked glass technique via Splitcoasstampers...but I remember they made that with clear embossin poweder... glue is better I think - I will give it a try again -- don't even remind what I came up with -lol!
ReplyDeleteSanta was very generous to you♥♥♥
Hi Inky!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fab tag, the girl is beautiful! Love her face and te swirly hair is very cool! I really must get some fresco paints! Then I will pick your brains on how to make such gorgeous backgrounds!! Xx
Great text background, your beautiful drawing is awesome, your curls and eyes are sublime.
ReplyDeleteHuge fan of Portfolio Pastels, i use them a lot they help me use brighter colours which i have difficulty doing. Always get a smile when using these under rated pastels.
Good to know you got some crafty goodies for Christmas.

We've got New Beginnings over at The Artistic Stamper too - so do come and play! Love the text in the background and your swirly haired beauty. Vivid blues and greens are the colours I always seem to lean towards in Jan/Feb so this really pleases me!

A beautiful face on a great tag. It looks fantastic. Wishing you a creative and happy year 2015.
ReplyDeleteLove your image, amazing hair. Beautiful colours too. Santa was good to you! I have not tried cracking glossy accents, looks good! Does it fall off or stay stuck? I find crackle paint often falls off which is annoying! Nikki xx
