Stand Out

Hello everyone,

I know it's a very British thing to drone on about the weather but I must say it is truly rotten today........no gardening equals more craft time though so I suppose it has advantages then :)

A card for you all today, I don't often use my patterned paper stash but in this case I quite liked the idea of making Dina's girl blend in with the background but still stand out.....if that makes sense? I love this stamp, I think she has a certain melancholy about her that's endearing.

I am entering this into the following challenges:

The Mixed Media Monthly, May Flowers

Stamping Sensations, Flower Power

City Crafter, Focus on Flower(s)

Take It,Make It, Take A Stamp (Anything Goes)

Inspiration Destination, Anything Goes

Decoart paints (the flowers are stamped on and cut from a Gelli print), Copics, Distress Inks, Stickles. The stamps are: Dina Wakley, Tim Holtz, Dylusions and Carabelle.

Hope you like it

  4. Blending in yet standing out at the same time makes perfect sense to me. We crafty ones have a 7th sense to see what stands out yet is blending in to the non-crafties. I know you know what I mean. LoL She's a fun image and your painting of her is marvelous.
