Thats Crafty! Challenge - Steampunk Surprise
Hello everyone,
Time for a new challenge over at Thats Crafty! and the theme for this fortnight is: Steampunk Surprise.
Remember that you can make anything you like as long as it fits the theme and you could be in with a chance of winning a lovely £20 voucher to spend online in the shop....happy days!
So why not pop over and see what my lovely teamies have made and also enter your own little work of art ;)
I adore steampunk but don't seem to have made many steampunkery pieces lately. When we craft I suppose we go off in different directions and go full circle at some point!
Art Journey and Tim Holtz stamps, Metal tape, Tim Holtz embossing folder, die cuts are Tim Holtz and X Cut, Distress ink, paints and embossing powder.
Hope you like it
Donna x

Ooh Donna this is lovely, I haven't done steampunk in ages either, so will have to think hard about this one. Love the splash of blue, it really sets your piece off. Enjoy your weekend xx
ReplyDeleteSuch an inventive piece, Donna. I love the faux verdigris against the 'riveted metal'. Really does look like a stemapunk engineer's or inventor's workbench.
ReplyDeleteA fabulous steam punkery creation Donna!! Like you I adore steam punk, but don't seem to make much myself? ... So may just give this challenge a go ;) ... And a big Congrats on your Tim tag win, so well deserved Donna!! Have a lovely weekend! Hugs Jan x
ReplyDeleteWonderful piece Donna and captured Steampunk perfectly. I used to make lots like this but haven't for a long time- I guess we just change every now and again but it is nice to revisit some things

Fabulous! I wouldn't know where to start with steampunk to be honest. I made a steampunk looking nice butterfly once and that was as far as I got with it. That's why I always admire when someone just 'gets it' and you are a prime example. Big thumbs up! Xx
ReplyDeleteI've always said you do steampunk so well and this is no exception, fab!! Ruth x
