Hello everyone,
Hope you are all okay out there in blogland and looking forward to a crafty weekend full of inky fun.
I have a card for you today using Brushos. I can't be sure but I am guessing that Brushos and Bistre are a similar type of paint pigment? Now, I won't go into my 'adventures' with this stuff ( Amanda and Ingrid know only too well) but suffice to say.....protect your work surfaces....and your clothes....enough said....
I am entering this in the following challenges:
Simon Stamp Monday,Rock the Techniques here
Stampotique Designers challenge,SDC165,One Stamp here
Background is entirely Brushos,Stampotique stamp (she's a beauty isn't she)coloured with pro markers,Tim Holtz chit chat seasonal stickers for the words
This one is 'dedicated' to the lovely Amanda as she loves her Stampotique stamps too :)
Hope you like it
Nice weekend everyone

Fab card Donna...I've never used Brushos...what a vibrant background you have created with them...I do love a card with attitude!! Jan x
ReplyDeleteOh boy, look at that background! Holy wowsers!! Those colours are out of this world! I checked my local craft store and they have any of this brusho stuff (I'm wasn't surprised), too bad, it sure makes some gorgeous works! Your lady reminds me of the characters from The Nightmare Before Christmas! Amazing! hugs :)
ReplyDeleteAstrid mentioned on her blog that she was using Bistre, later she mentioned that Brushos are the UK equivalent, she was being asked by lots of her followers where to purchase them from so you are correct :-)
ReplyDeleteThink i am going to treat myself to some colours if i can get them at the next Show i am attending, the colours always make me smile and love the tie dye effect . Wonder if they will work on fabric...
Your background makes me think Northern Lights, so the biggest fireworks display on Earth, so beautiful :-) xxx
They will work on fabric providing you don't intend to wash it

Those character stamps are so quirky and fun. As is your card! Great background. It's got a lot of attitude itself, and done perfectly for effect with the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant Donna!! If these were the colours you used in the garden I am sure that your garden looks beautiful!!!

Goodness me! Fabulous fun card! The speckled bottom part of the background is just magical! Great stamp! Cool make up, will try it one day myself ;)
ReplyDeleteThe brushos can be used on fabric but you better not get rained on with that fancy brusho coloured tote whilst out and about or you'll be in for a real rainbow treat :) heheh.. Perhaps a decorative fabric piece is a better idea. They work on any porous surfaces...
Wonderful work again! Crafty Catz challenge is perfect for this beauty, you should have entered LOL! Xx
"Fireworks" definitely describes your background, Donna! And, "Attitude Problem" definitely describes your Stampotique image! Great, fun and artsy card. You photography did not go unnoticed! Thanks so much for participating in the Stampotique Designers' Challenge this week!!
ReplyDeleteWow this is fab Donna, a real riot of colour. I must admit I've given in and ordered myself some Brusho's today (I'm staying strong about the gelli plate though) I will now put my hat on and say thanks very much for joining in with our Stampotique challenge, and have a fab weekend. Sue xx
