Gelli Birdie
Hello everyone,
Hope you are all okay out there,a big hug to you all as you have all been so kind to me lately :)
Quick question ( yes I know I am always asking dumb questions) but can anyone please recommend a strong, double sided tape that I can buy? I am getting fed up with not being able to stick my ATB boxes together. Glossy accents and even hot glue keeps coming unstuck, I got a cheapy double sided tape thats useless so any help would be appreciated!
Today I have a card for you. I am on a card making run at the moment and even made my first christmas card last night.....and yes its very 'quirky'!
I am entering this into the following challenges:
Stamping Sensations,Things with Wings here
Simon Stamp Wednes,Create your own backgrounds here
Gelli print background made using Fresco paints and crafters workshop stencil, stamps are Dina Wakley and Art Journey, distress markers, micron and posca pens.
Hope you like it

Oh boy! Isn't this fabulous!! I keep seeing these gelli creations everywhere, looks like a fun product! Love the blues and yellows and your bird is so sweet...WOW! I keep zooming in on it, did you hand draw the bubbles? So gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI hope you post your Christmas card, I sure would love to see that quirky creation!! Big giant bear hugs! :)
Oh I LOVE the gelli plate design. Your card is gorgeous. I never get bored of the birdie stamp, it's so beautifully artsy! Your cards are like little works of art ready to be framed :)

Love this Donna, background is fab!! I stick my ATB's together with mostly cosmic shimmer glue (which dries clear) and allows me time to line them up then dries quickly and they have never come unstuck and occasionally red backed double sided tape but you have to get the closure positioning right first time (which I don't lol)

Hi Donna, I adore these stamps and seeing this beautiful project has moved them further up my wish list. I use Scor pal tape it's super sticky and also like Pergamano glue, it grips quickly and doesn't ripple paper or cardstock. Hope this helps.

Meant to say the Scor pal tape comes in different widths too which is useful.

That's amazing WOW ... such great color in this piece..
ReplyDeleteI take two side carpet tape from our discounter - it's there from time to time on special offer.. or I buy it at the construction market...
that always holds extremely securely!

I know that it will help her spirit a little... all mums love what their children create... and this a real love of a card... Have a good day.. Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie
ReplyDeleteGreat background and wonderful card. Never used fresco on gelli, just standard acrylics, must give fresco a try. I also use cosmic shimmer on atbs, holds it perfectly. Nikki xx
ReplyDeleteStunning .. I just love this
ReplyDeleteRed double sided tape sticks everything but you need to be sure it is in the right place first as it cannot be repositioned !

Love your background, and such beautiful colors! The bird really stands out!
ReplyDeleteI use Extra sticky tape, doublesided and you gan get it in different sizes, great stuff! It looks red, but that's the peel off.
Hello there, Lovely birdy card, smashing coloured background :D As everybody here mentions the red tape I won't Oh!! Sorry........... talk about repetition LOL Gay x
ReplyDeleteI double up when making the ATB, i use the red tape and hot glue gun or normal double sided tape and the glue gun. Have had difficulty with the boxes not sticking together in humid weather and this seems to help.
ReplyDeleteAdoring your bird card, loving the colours and the textures on your background :-) xxx
Beautiful background coloring, great design. I have and love the birdie too.

A wonderful creation, Donna! Gorgeous colour combo and a fabulous quirky bird. Thanks for joining in at stamping sensations for our things with wings theme this month and good luck!
ReplyDeleteSparkle N Sprinkle has a Tear-ific Tape that is double sided and very strong...kinda like red liner tape, but a bit friendlier. It comes in a variety of sizes and its rather inexpensive. Cute card too:)
