Crackle and metallic

Hello everyone,

A big thanks to all who left helpful recommendations re the best double sided tape to use. I have ordered some scor tape so hopefully I will be able to get on with making my ATBs again without them completely falling apart the very next day.

Today I have a hanging board for you made from ultra thick cardboard. For some reason this has been in my stash for months before I have gotten around to using it,not sure why! I have had real problems taking pictures of this one because of the metal tape used, the light bounces off at weird angles!

The second picture shows the 3 step crackle technique by using Paperartsy Fresco paints and crackle glaze, love this effect and sometimes find it hard to cover it up!

I am entering this in the following challenges:

The Mirror Crack'd-Anything Goes here

Simon Stamp Monday-Rock the Techniques here

Thats Crafty-Girl Power here

Altered Eclectics-Anything Goes here

Fresco and distress paints, crackle glaze, metal tape, rusting powder (on the heart and hinge),Inkylicious sprays, tim holtz stamp and ephemera from the thrift store pack.

Hope you like it

Donna x

  18. This is a really wonderful piece! I like how it's eclectic, yet all of the elements play off each other so well. There were interesting things to look at on every inch of this piece and you definitely have a great eye for putting objects together in beautiful ways. I particularly like those three sweet flowers at the bottom all in a row. It creates such a perfect base for this striking composition! It has class and whimsy and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing it. Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!
